Cookie Policy

Dear User,
This information is provided pursuant to art.13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 ("GDPR") to those who access and navigate on our website.

What are cookies

Cookies are usually strings of text that the websites visited by the user and/or different websites or web servers (so-called 'third parties') place and store on a terminal device in the availability of the user. The software for internet browsing and operating these devices, e.g. browsers, can store cookies and then transmit them back to the sites that generated them on the occasion of a subsequent visit of the same user, thus keeping a record of his previous interaction with one or more websites. The information encoded in cookies may include personal data, such as an IP address, a username, a unique identifier, a computer resource locator (URL) or an e-mail address, but may also contain non-personal data, such as language settings or information about the type of device the user is utilizing to browse the site.

How cookies work

Cookies can therefore perform important and different functions, including tracking sessions, storing information about specific configurations regarding users accessing the server, facilitating the enjoyment of online content, etc. For instance, they can be used to keep track of the items in an online shopping cart or of the information used to fill in a computer form.

Cookies may be directly generated by the operator of the website accessed ("first-party cookies") or generated by parties other than the site operator, hosted on the page itself ("third-party cookies").

If, on the one hand, it is through cookies that it is possible to allow web pages to load faster, and to correctly transmit information on a network – according therefore, with fulfilments strictly linked to the operation of websites -, it is also through cookies that it is possible to convey behavioural advertising and then measure the effectiveness of the advertising message, i.e. to conform the type and mode of the services rendered to the user's behaviour that was previously observed. Two macro-categories can therefore be identified:

- technical and functional cookies, generally necessary for the correct functionality of the website and to allow browsing, authentication in restricted areas, making online purchases. They are necessary to display the page correctly and to use the services provided; they facilitate the consultation of the website, by memorizing certain language settings, display settings, and so on. Within this macro-category also fall analytical cookies (of first or third parties), only if used to collect information, in aggregate form and properly anonymous in compliance with the provisions and requirements of EU Regulation, in order to improve the service rendered to the user.

The use of technical and functional cookies does not require the user's consent in accordance with the provisions of Directive 2009/136/EC, the provision of the Italian Personal Data Protection Authority of 8 May 2014 and the "Guidelines for cookies and other tracking tools - 10 June 2021".

The disabling of technical cookies may cause malfunctions and prevent the user from viewing the site.

- profiling cookies, aimed at creating user-related profiles and used to promote offers in line with the preferences expressed by the user in the context of web browsing. Since these tools are not necessary for the proper functioning of the site but are used exclusively to customise information and advertising offered to the user, they require the user's consent, which can be freely revoked at any time without prejudice to the processing prior to revocation (Art. 6, para. 1, lett. a) of the GDPR)

In accordance with the most recent regulatory "Guidelines on cookies and other tracking tools - 10 June 2021", the user can consult the list of cookies on the website, together with information on how they work and the data processing they generate. The user is thus able to freely choose which cookies to activate or not, with the exception of the technical and functional ones, which are strictly necessary to allow, as explained above, the website to function properly.

Recipients and data retention period:

For technical reasons only, data may be processed by subjects duly designated as Data Processors. The retention periods are listed among the information relating to each cookie. Personal data may also be disclosed to public entities if required by law.

For all information regarding the processing of personal data collected through third -party cookies by their operators - including timing and possible transfers of personal data to non-EU countries - please refer to the updated information links in the cookie list.

Data subjects’ rights

The subjects to whom the personal data refer may at any time exercise the rights provided for in articles 15-21 of EU Regulation 679/16, i.e.: access to the data concerning them, obtain their rectification, cancellation, limitation, oppose in whole or in part to their processing.

Requests are processed by the data controller free of charge as quickly as possible, in any case within a maximum period of one month.

Since the data processing has its legal basis also in the consent given by the user, the relevant right to revoke it at any time is granted without prejudice to the validity of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent given prior to the revocation.

In order to exercise these rights, the user may contact the data controller at the contact details indicated at the beginning of the present disclosure.

Right of complaint: data subjects who believe that the processing of their personal data carried out through this website is in breach of the provisions of the EU Regulation 679/16, have the right to lodge a complaint to the Italian Data Protection Authority as provided for in article 77 of the Regulation itself, or to seek the appropriate judicial remedy before the competent Court (article 79 of the Regulation).
